About PES Network, Inc.
Last updated May 10, 2007
We at PES Network, Inc. feature, promote and foster energy technologies that are on the cutting-edge, and which are clean, super-efficient, non-depleting, reliable and affordable; which have not yet been introduced to the mainstream, facilitating their emergence as legitimate modalities. Our work primarily takes the form of information dissemination, but we also network individuals together, helping to secure funding and business expertise. Much of the networking takes place behind the scenes through the news and directory exposure PES Network provides for emerging technologies.
Our websites are well respected within the field, and receive a healthy volume of traffic from people interested in alternative energy, whether from scientific curiosity, or for inventive collaboration, or for seeking investment or business opportunities.
Much of our audience is comprised of a loyal base of repeat visitors and contributors. Our sites are a "watering hole" for people interested in advancing technologies that will move us away from dependence on fossil fuels, and toward cleaner, greener, more affordable, reliable, and safe energy solutions.
PES was founded by D. Allan in November of 2003 with the primary objective of open-sourcing alternative energy technologies. By "open source" we mean the open sharing of instructions of how to build and replicate fundamental energy concepts. We focus primarily on the ‘free energy’ modalities that tap into inexhaustible energy reservoirs -- such as solar, wind, wave, tidal, geothermal; as well as less-conventional technologies such as cold fusion, zero point energy, radiant energy, and magnet motors. We also address other closely-related fields such as waste remediation, recycling, and water purification and derivation.
We seek to bring knowledge of suppressed technologies into more conventional arenas, by increasing awareness and scientific rigor, as well as by facilitating the necessary business, financial and legal collaborations needed for success.
Websites
PureEnergySystems.com is the corporate website of PES Network, Inc.
PESWiki.com is a publicly editable site with an extensive directory and encyclopedia. It is where most of our open source energy projects are housed. Because anyone (who does not abuse the privilege) can edit the site, it is great for collaborative work.
FreeEnergyNews.com is our daily news site, and also contains an extensive topical directory.
PESN.com is where we post news stories of our own composing, as well as press releases that we wish to feature.
Our news and directory is acknowledged by many to be the best available on the topic of cutting-edge energy technologies that move us away from dependence on fossil fuels and toward cleaner, greener, more reliable, safe and affordable energy solutions.
A primary outgrowth from and adjunct to PES has been the founding of the New Energy Congress (NEC), which reviews the various energy technology claims and then ranks them according to a fixed set of criteria. Also founded by Mr. Allan, in close association with the New Energy Movement, the Congress site is presently hosted primarily at PESWiki.com because of that site's collaborative features and synergistic contents and purposes.
Top100Energy.com, an evolving list of the most promising energy technologies, is maintained with public input, although it is primarily populated and steered by the Congress.
We invite you to participate in the many avenues available, whether it be coordinating an open source energy project; or building and maintaining a topical index page; or participating in a specific technology discussion list of which there are dozens.
Key Personnel: A Brief Introduction
Sterling D. Allan, founder and CEO, has been immersed in new energy technology since the Spring of 2002. He was launched into the field by working toward arranging a trip by Mike Brady to demonstrate his all-magnet Perendev magnet motor in the United States, founding the company Perentech. In September of that year, he began what turned into a daily energy news service, FreeEnergyNews.com. He launched PES Network, Inc. in November 2003 primarily to open source feasible free energy devices. In August of 2004, he launched http://PESWiki.com as a publicly editable energy directory and project site. Look for his handle, "SilverThunder" at PESWiki. Then in Sept. 2005, he launched the New Energy Congress.
Kenneth M. Rauen has been a key technical advisor for PES Network Inc. since its founding in 2003, and he has likewise provided valuable technical input for the New Energy Congress. Ken worked closely with the late Gene Mallove in a laboratory together, also assisting with Mallove's Infinite Energy magazine, both writing articles and providing peer review.
Doug Furr, a Ph.D. Mechanical Engineer, built a 1/4-scale replica of the Perendev Magnet Motor for Perentech in the Summer of 2003. Though that replica does not run on magnet energy (yet), it illustrates his willingness to pursue unconventional approaches.
While he's not officially on staff, we should mention James Arthur Jancik, who has been hosting our "This Week in Free Energy" show since Sept. 2004, in which Mr. Allan gives a 10-minute run-down of the energy news highlights from the past week.
Community Involvement
There have also been a good number of people not named above who have contributed significantly to the content at PESWiki, as well as our other sites, and whose participation is highly valued.
We would also like to thank the many other people who send us great news tips, as well as the other energy news services and energy directories from which we draw.
Most of all, we express our admiration of, and gratitude to, those of you who are working to bring forth new-energy technologies that will make this world a better place.
Financial
We got a boost during our skinny start-up time through a generous loan/grant from Jim Newburn. Our preliminary alignment with the Open Source Energy Network for half a year in 2006, which ended up not resulting in a joint venture, also helped while we matured. Since that time, we have become solvent, thanks primarily to the Google-served topic-relevant ads and a few items we make available for sale on the site. There is also some donation assistance that helps things move forward.
